| | The Perception OS is an experimental operating system. All features within the operating system are experimental, from domain-based device management, to a whiteboard metaphore (alternative to the desktop metapore) interface. t is built around a micro-kernel - a concept where by to increase system stability all drivers and servers run with most of the same restrictions as standard programs.
Perception OS is yet to reach a stable enough state to be released.

- Process Server
Handles the creation and management of processes and memory, aswell as permissions and identification.
- Device Server
Handles the management and identification of devices and drivers.
- Audio Server
Manages the sharing of audio hardware across several processes.
- File System Server
Handles associating drives with file systems, and the access of files on the file systems.
- Whiteboard Server
Manages the user interface and the management of windows.
